The youth ministry of King's Church seeks to disciple teenagers in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior through age specific classes, activities, and events as well as through fully integrated church life. Our desire is not for the youth ministry to be a separate church within the church, but rather to be an integral part of our body as young believers have opportunity to both learn from, serve, and encourage the various members of King's Church.
Our desire is for the members of King's Church to come alongside the parents of teens as they endeavor to faithfully disciple their children and prepare them for living out the Christian faith in a hostile world. For more information regarding the youth ministry at King's Church, please contact Bradley Bumbalough.
Sunday School
Each Sunday during the school year, the teens of our church are invited to participate in a Sunday school class aimed specificially at equipping them to understand and live out their faith. These classes usually consist of a time of singing, an activity, a lesson, and small group prayer. Sample topics that have been covered in this class are Biblical Interpretation, Praying the Bible, and Old Testament Prophecies about Christ.
Fellowship Events
Once a month the teens of our church enjoy gathering at various church members' homes for a night of fellowship. These nights are varied and may include games, worship, or just hanging out around a fire pit. Their goal is to provide opportunities for the teens of our church to deepen their relationships with one another as they seek to encourage one another in their Christian walks.
Service Opportunities
The youth ministry of King's Church seeks to help mobilize the teens of our church by giving them opportunities to serve the community of Conroe and the church community. Past service opportunities have involved hurricane clean up & food bank service.
Full Church Integration
The teens of our church, beginning at age 14 are encouraged to participate in the Men's and Women's ministry events. These events are excellent opportunities for them to grow in their understanding of the Word and to be discipled by older, more mature men and women in the church. Youth who have been baptized and are members of our church faithfully serve in many ways on Sunday mornings whether it be on the set up team, in the church nursery, on the worship team, etc.
